USHERING IN A NEW GENERATION OF SMART DOORS

M-Pwr Smart Doors are the first-ever residential front doors to integrate power, lights, a video doorbell and a smart lock into the door system. The concept behind Masonite’s M-Pwr Smart Doors was based on the belief that adding power to an exterior door would solve several pain points for homeowners and smart device manufacturers, such as the frequent need to replace batteries.  

This approach would require multiple smart technologies to be embedded directly into the door to enable completely novel levels of connected convenience. Masonite approached Molex to assist with the challenges of routing power and Wi-Fi safely and reliably to the door, and the outcome was award-winning.
