Premo-Flex Flat Flexible Cables (FFC) reliably connect two PCBs or a PCB and a display unit using ZIF/LIF connectors, delivering durable yet flexible connections. In addition, Premo-Flex FFC Jumpers support virtually any industry.

Premo-Flex

Shielding:

Premo-Flex shielded cables offer EMI protection through shielding options such as foil, painted and thermoset. The shielding is grounded to conductors by etching away the polyester jacket of the cable and exposing bare wire, allowing contact between the wire and shielding. Additionally, custom printing can be added to the shielded cable. Cables of any pitch can be shielded.

Printed Lines:

Provides the ability to print a wide range of thicknesses and number of lines on a cable to assist connector assembly by ensuring the cable is fully mated.

Round Flat Cables (RFCs):

Provide ideal electrical connections between PCBs and create cost savings by eliminating the need for connectors. However, if a connector is needed on one end, Molex can offer a hybrid solution with round contacts at one end for through-hole soldering, and flat contacts at the other end to fit a ZIF or LIF connector.

Folded Cables:

Enable PCB connection solutions that meet challenging space and mobility requirements.

Hot Bar Soldered Cables:

Provide a durable connection by permanently affixing to a PCB via direct soldering - eliminating the need for a connector. Hot bar solder delivers superior signal integrity that can withstand high vibration environments.

Notched Cables:

Enable greater retention force.

Insulated Material Options:

Such as polyester, polyimide and Aramid enable PCB connection solutions for unique temperature and environmental conditions. Polyester insulation is available in black or white.

Component Soldering:

Attaches components directly to cable with optional protective cover film.

Full Assembly:

Molex FFC Premo-Flex Flat-Flexible Cable Jumpers offer finished assemblies using Easy-On FFC FPC Connectors to provide complete interconnect solutions.
